Check out these DIY ‘fixes’

Shop owners and technicians have seen their share of creative DIYers try their hand at fixing issues with their vehicle.

Whether it’s a new kind of exhaust pipe, an innovative power steering hose replacement or finding a piece of lumber that will seemingly do the trick, drivers can be counted on to come up with imaginative fixes. Techs have been snapping photos and sending them in over the years to CARS Magazine so we are taking our popular magazine feature and bringing it to life in a new video series.

Sponsored by NAPA, we bring you our first episode of EyeSpy: Creative DIY Repairs. And yes, that means there are more to come.

Remember, if you come across any creative DIY repairs or anything else that is photo-worthy in your shop, make sure to send it our way.

Looks like “Funniest home fixing on cars “ but why pictures like this are not passed on to MTO and insurance companies?
Maybe someone can get the yearly safety inspection going. Once vehicles are older than 7 years the insurance should ask more often for a recertification. This will keep the DIYs from unsafe repairs and our loved ones, neighbors and so rounded people’s safer.
