Shop owners and technicians have seen their share of creative DIYers try their hand at fixing issues with their vehicle.
Whether it’s a new kind of exhaust pipe, an innovative power steering hose replacement or finding a piece of lumber that will seemingly do the trick, drivers can be counted on to come up with imaginative fixes. Techs have been snapping photos and sending them in over the years to CARS Magazine so we are taking our popular magazine feature and bringing it to life in a new video series.

Maybe someone can get the yearly safety inspection going. Once vehicles are older than 7 years the insurance should ask more often for a recertification. This will keep the DIYs from unsafe repairs and our loved ones, neighbors and so rounded people’s safer.
