BRAKE LATHE APPROVED FOR COLORADO/CANYON
The Pro-Cut PFM 9.2 performs brake rotor turning on the vehicle itself. It is uniquely suited to work on the new “captured rotor” brake systems employed on both Colorado and Canyon. Both Chevy’s Colorado and the GMC Canyon use a “captured rotor” design. In this configuration, the brake rotor is mounted to the back of the wheel hub with separate fasteners, instead of to the front of the hub with the wheel studs. Removing the rotor from the vehicle requires removing the entire hub/bearing assembly, and the “captured” rotor is difficult to mount on a conventional off-vehicle lathe. The Pro-Cut PFM 9.2 Auto-Compensating On-Vehicle Brake Lathe has been named an “Essential Tool” for all General Motors dealers selling the new Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon trucks.

NEW FUEL SERVICE SYSTEM FLUSHES ENGINES CLEAN
Snap-on Tools has introduced the Snap-on FuelKare Diagnostic and Maintenance System, Model EEFS305A to clean and remove gum, varnish and other harmful deposits from a variety of automotive fuel systems. The Snap-on FuelKare system can perform a variety of fuel service functions from quick service tasks such as carburetor cleaning to full flushing tasks such as fuel injection system cleaning. Programmed fuel system diagnostics test components prior to beginning fuel system cleaning, which allows technicians to immediately determine if repairs are needed. Pulsating action then pushes cleaning fluid through the fuel system and provides the right amount of pressure to eliminate soft carbon build-up and other contaminants. After the deposits are removed, contaminants are extracted through an on-board filtering system.
