Waterloo man wins 2013 Ford Mustang Convertible

Car giveaway is culmination of Mister Transmissions 50th anniversary contest.

Ron Poole of Waterloo, Ont. drove away from his local Mister Transmission shop in style last month.

A long time customer of the auto repair chain, his name was drawn from more than 5,500 entries in the company’s 50th Anniversary Mustang Giveaway contest.

Waterloo Franchisee Brian Schroeder, together with CEO Randy Moore presented Ron with a brand new 2013 Ford Mustang Convertible at the Waterloo Mister Transmission location on October 29th.

When asked about his reaction to Randy’s call telling him the good news, Mr. Poole said he had trouble believing the news was true. He assumed Randy was a telemarketer trying to sell him something. Only after receiving a second call from Brian did the reality set in. The nationwide contest ran from May 1 to October 15, and was widely publicized through a mix of broadcast and traditional media as well as online media. There was no purchase necessary.

The contest was Mister Transmission’s way of celebrating 50 years of success in Canada and thanking Canadians for trusting them to keep their cars on the road.

Mister Transmission is a privately owned franchise with locations across Canada. They specialize in transmission and driveline service and repairs on all types of domestic and import vehicles. For more information please visit them online.
