The winner of many business awards over its seven-year history, Wakefield Canada Inc. has now achieved two additional marks of distinction.
Executive search firm Waterstone Human Capital says the company has one of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures of 2012 in the ‘mid-market’ division.
Wakefield has won a spot on Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures list, founded and presented by Waterstone Human Capital. The award’s board of governors is a prestigious group of well-connected executives from the private and public sector, most of whom represent an organization that is a past winner of the program.
Wakefield has also once again been identified as one of the Best Small & Medium Employers in the Greater Toronto Area, achieving the #17 ranking. This award came as a result of participation in the Top 50 Best Small & Medium Employers.
The organizers explain, “If employees speak positively about their employer, want to continue working there and go ‘above and beyond’ to help the organization succeed, we identify them as being highly engaged.”
Bob MacDonald, president of Wakefield Canada, thanked his team for these two award recognitions noting, “We’re not done, and it’s not easy. I thank each and every one of you for contributing to our company’s success.”
Wakefield Canada Inc. markets, distributes and manufactures category-leading brands for the automotive and commercial marketplace – Castrol lubricants, H2Blu Diesel Exhaust Fluid and SuperClean.
Over its comparatively brief history, the wholly-owned Canadian company has received many honours and designations: ISO 9001 for overall Wakefield operations, and ISO 14001 for manufacturing operations; 2009 and 2010 Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies (Best Managed) Award; and three times (2009, 2010 and 2011) named among the Top 50 Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada. Wakefield has received official validation of carbon neutrality for 2008 and 2009 and is committed to maintaining this approach in all business operations.
