Volker Muschel joins Firestone Industrial Products Company

Firestone Industrial Products has hired Volker Muschel to head the air spring company’s worldwide Automotive OEM sales division.

Muschel, who will be based in Germany, will be responsible for sales of Firestone’s Airide air springs to strategic light duty accounts.  He will report to Firestone’s Light Duty Business Manager, Paul Fessel.

Prior to joining Firestone, Muschel served as sales manager at Tenneco Automotive for their emission control product division in Edenkoben, Germany.  He also previously worked as the Business Manager for Peak North America in Troy, Mich.

Muschel earned his dual M.B.A. in International Marketing and International Business in July 2000 from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Mich.  His undergraduate studies were at Heidelberg University in Heidelberg, Germany.  Muschel conducted his Master’s thesis in Asia and is fluent in German, English and Portuguese.  He has a basic knowledge of Spanish.
