UAP/NAPA Western Division held their annual Autopro Shop convention in the Sheraton Suites Hotel, Calgary, July 7 & 8th. The theme was Profit Management and was in a presenter/audience discussion format with panels of suppliers. The convention drew members from Nipigon,Ont to Vancouver Island, B.C.

Autopro announced a new program for mechanical shops to offer Extended Warranties to their customers for cars up to nine years old.

The cost would be on a sliding scale depending on age and odometer reading. Usually sold by new and used car dealers, Autopro shops, starting in the Fall, will offer warranties to customers for periods from 3 months to 7 years. Warranties are flexible according to customer needs and are targeted towards groups of components such as driveline and up to all mechanical systems.
