Waterloo, Ontario-based Bast Tire and Auto Service has announced that Service Manager Wayne (Jake) Moore (right) is the recipient of the 2004 Canadian Diesel Technician of The Year Award, sponsored by ChevronTexaco. Moore received this award at the annual “Canadian Fleet Maintenance Seminar” in Toronto (C.F.M.S.), on May 9, 2005. The Diesel Technician of the year is chosen from 12 winners of the monthly award. Earlier Moore was the recipient of the “Diesel Technician of the Month” for May 2004, presented at the monthly Automotive Transportation Service Superintendents Association (A.T.S.S.A). Owner Wayne Moser of Bast Tire and Auto Service said, “Jake Moore has been a valuable team leader of our mechanical service team for many years. I am confident that our customers are receiving the industries best when Jake is overseeing their mechanical service needs. Jake is most deserving of this prestigious award for his outstanding performance. We are proud to have Jake as our Service Manager.”
