Michael Sype, an original equipment engineer with extensive experience in light truck, Jeep and SUV ride control development, has been assigned to lead Tenneco’s Rancho product development team. Rancho products have led the off-road shock and suspension market for more than 50 years.
“Mike brings exclusive insight into OE platforms and technologies that will certainly bring new levels of innovation and performance to the most prestigious brand in the off-road shock and suspension market,” said Joe Pase, general manager, Rancho. “We’re excited to add Mike to our team; his experience and enthusiasm for the off-road market will continue to push Rancho to the forefront of new technologies and designs for the performance ride control marketplace.”
After serving in increasingly responsible engineering roles within Tenneco’s OE business, Sype joins the Rancho engineering team with a strong background in product development, program management and production. He also served as a senior ride development technician for projects conducted at the General Motors Milford Proving Grounds, Milford, Mich. Sype will be based in Monroe, Mich.
