Talk about long-term relationship!

Under the terms of a warranty, the customer was required to bring in his vehicle for an annual transmission service and inspection. Mister Transmission had to keep it going. For 40 years both sides have kept up their end of the bargain.

In this day of designed obsolescence, it isn’t often that you get the opportunity to service the same car every year for 40 years.

But Mister Transmission recently helped Derek DeVille of Kitchener, Ont. celebrate the 40th annual service on his 1965 Thunderbird.

Derek and his wife Joan have been Mister Transmission customers for over 40 years. Back in 1972 Derek brought in his 1965 Thunderbird to the Mister Transmission location in Brantford, Ont. Upon purchasing a new rebuilt transmission, he was given a "lifetime guarantee" warranty.

Under the terms of the warranty, Mr. De Ville was required to bring in his vehicle to any Mister Transmission location for an annual transmission service and inspection. Mister Transmission would keep it going.

Nearly 40 years later, both sides have kept their end of the bargain.

This fall, Derek took the Thunderbird in to the Kitchener location for its 40th consecutive service.

Mister Transmission president and CEO, Randall A. Moore, took the opportunity to offer a note of thanks to all of the company’s loyal customers for their continued support."

Mister Transmission has over 75 locations nationwide. Each location is individually owned and operated.
