ACDelco has added features to the Total Service Support Program. ADT Security and Enterprise Rent-A-Car discounts are now available, and members now automatically earn points for ACDelco’s Exclusively Yours rewards program with parts purchases.

Castrol North America has appointed Roger Cornfoot as territory sales manager for the lower mainland and interior, British Columbia. Cornfoot, most recently with Rothmans, Benson & Hedges Inc., has over 22 years of sales experience.

Rogers Willett has joined ride control manufacturer KYB America LLC. As national accounts manager, Willett will be responsible for managing KYB’s Canadian customers as well as special markets, motorsports and KYB’s involvement with Toyota Racing Development.

OEM and aftermarket heavyweight Delphi has developed an integrated starter-alternator which may improve fuel efficiency by up to five percent. The system is installed in the conventional alternator position and uses a belt drive. Called “Energen”, the unit can also provide supplemental cabin heat at engine start. Delphi expects to improve the efficiency gains beyond the five- percent level with further development.

Cardone Industries has become the first privately held automotive parts remanufacturer to receive ISO 14001 certification. ISO 14001 certifies that Cardone exceeds regulatory environmental standards. Cardone is a QS 9000 and ISO 9001 remanufacturer of brakes, drivetrain, electronics, motors, pumps and steering components.

Carquest Canada Ltd. has reached an agreement with Petro-Canada to supply parts and product support in Eastern Canada. The five-year agreement is managed under Carquest’s national account program, and makes the 300 Carquest stores an authorized alternate source for Certigard locations and an authorized supplier for Petro-Canada service stations.

Exhaust supplier Bosal has been named as a General Motors Supplier of the Year, by GM Worldwide Purchasing. The GM Supplier of the Year award was launched globally in 1992, and this year presented to 165 suppliers from 19 countries. Citing “superior performance in quality, service, technology and price”, the presentation was held on April 28th in Washington D.C. Bosal is a five-time winner of the award.

Uni-Select Inc. has signed a three-year agreement with Dana Brake and Chassis positioning Raybestos as Uni-Select’s Preferred Vendor in the brake category. Uni-Select Inc. will also emphasize the Raybestos Preferred Vendor arrangement with a new marketing initiative in each region coast to coast.
