– Wayne Johnston is the new vice president and general manager, Atlantic Region for CARQUEST CANADA LTD. The 38-year industry veteran will have continued responsibility for CARQUEST joint venture stores, as well as sales activity to the independent jobber community and overseeing warehouse operations.

– Snap-on’s ‘Snowmobile Tool Storage Promotion’ is underway. Technicians can win one of three snowmobiles by purchasing one of the three collectible KRL snowmobile storage combinations (featuring Arctic Cat, Ski Doo and Polaris graphics) between October 1 and November 30.

– Rotary Lift has opened a new Customer Resource Centre in Toronto. The 6000 square-foot facility includes warehouseing, a showroom and a training centre for sales, installation and service. In related news, Rotary’s Chatham, Ontario manufacturing plant has been closed, with production moved to the company’s Madison, Indiana operation.
