The Shad's annual golf tournament raised $150,000 for the Canadian Muscular Dystrophy Association. This effort brought the outstanding cumulative total to $3,276,700 for the past 34 years.


The Shad’s annual golf tournament raised $150,000 for the Canadian Muscular Dystrophy Association. This effort brought the outstanding cumulative total to $3,276,700 for the past 34 years.

Dr. Douglas Biggar, Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto, was the featured speaker for the event and updated the audience on stem cell research.

The winning foursome was the Spectra Premium team made up of Max Carter, Jason Best, Rob Addie and John Wamboldt. Rob Cazzolli of Dial Auto Parts was the winner of the ‘Pick Your Prize Draw’ sponsored by Gates Canada. Rob chose the $3,000 gift certificate from BestBuy Electronics.
