Phoenix Systems introduces BrakeStrip

Phoenix Systems has introduced the BrakeStrip brake fluid test strips with FASCAR (Fluid Analysis by Stimulation of Copper Alpha Reactions) technology. BrakeStrip meets the established guidelines developed by the Motorist Assurance Program (MAP) for testing brake fluid. To help protect brake systems from corrosion, brake fluid is manufactured with corrosion inhibitors that over time can become depleted. When this occurs, copper levels increase and are present in the fluid. BrakeStrip is designed to react quickly to the concentration of copper ions and turn color in accordance to the level of copper in the brake fluid. This color shift is very exact, and is based upon the level of copper in the fluid and will indicated when a brake fluid flush is needed.
