Permatex received an award for excellence in business-to-business communication at the 2013 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX).
Permatex received the 2013 Automotive Communications Award for Best-Of-Class ‘Best Use of YouTube Video’ for their video entitled ‘Manic Mechanics Face Off’, which was developed to support ‘the Right Stuff Gasket Maker’. The video was created for Permatex in cooperation with Barolin & Spencer Marketing Communications.
The annual Automotive Communications Awards (ACA) program, sponsored by the Car Care Council Women’s Board and Automotive Communication Council, highlights outstanding advertising, marketing, and public relations activities on behalf of aftermarket organizations. Over 250 entries were received in 2013.
Permatex’s entertaining video features a mock-competition between two mechanics, both trying to repair a leaking valve cover. The video was produced to demonstrate how much less time is needed to form a gasket using Permatex’s ‘the Right Stuff Gasket Maker’, when compared to ordering a specific, pre-cut gasket. The video was produced in conjunction with a social media campaign designed to educate consumers about the ease and effectiveness of Permatex products. The video increased views to the brand page by over 3,300 views in less than one month.
