ITW Permatex, Inc announced the acquisition of Anaerbicos S. A., a privately-owned maker of adhesives and sealants, headquartered in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Anaerbicos has been manufacturing silicones, cyanoacrylates, anaerobics, adhesives, and other sealants since 1972.
The purchase was announced by Mike Zimmerman, general manager of Permatex, who noted, “Anaerbicos is an excellent acquisition for Permatex because it further expands our business base in Argentina and Brazil.”
John Deges, currently director of sales and marketing for Permatex Europe, will head the Anaerbicos operation. Deges, an Argentine native, will be moving to Buenos Aires for this new assignment. Anaerbicos S. A. operates two industrial plants, a raw materials production facility in San Luis, Argentina and a headquarters and manufacturing facility in San Martin, Buenos Aires province. The Buenos Aires plant also houses the company’s central offices, R&D laboratory, and collapsible aluminum tubes manufacturing.
