USAutoNews.com, the largest Internet automotive portal providing e-commerce to automotive dealers is partnering with PurchasePro.com, which offers business-to-business e-commerce solutions, to create a universal dealer e-marketplace to sell and distribute products and services for the automotive industry. USAutoNews.com will create three exchanges and two marketplaces, covering B2B and B2C sales and distribution of dealer maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) products, cars, financing, warranties, and aftermarket parts. The collaboration with PurchasePro.com will allow members to receive improved pricing, streamline the ordering process, expand the selection of suppliers, use single-checkout technology when purchasing from multiple vendors and to communicate with over 25,000 businesses that are currently participating in the PurchasePro.com’s global network. According to PurchasePro.com chairman and CEO, Charles Johnson, “Our e-MarketMaker solution enables us to power e-commerce in new vertical industries while continuing to add our critical mass of buyers and suppliers on the PurchasePro.com global marketplace.”
