One-day ODP Certificate Course on Offer

The course is designed for anyone involved in handling, storing, transporting, working with, or disposing of refrigerants or similar substances used in refrigeration processes.


BARRIE, Ont. – Automotive trainer Mike Bailey is offering an Ozone Depleting Prevention (ODP) training course in Barrie, Ont. March 24.

The fee for this one-day class covers the course, manual, test and refreshments.

The course is designed for anyone involved in handling, storing, transporting, working with, or disposing of refrigerants or similar substances used in refrigeration processes.

You must have an ODP card to service and repair refrigeration systems and to purchase and handle refrigerants.

Course topics include:

* CFCs and the Ozone Layer

* Complying with Ontario Regulations

* Canada’s “Code of Practice”

* Leak Detection Methods…general and Automotive specific (additional tech tips included)

* Refrigerant Handling and Recovery procedures

* Maintenance Provisions, Refrigerant Recovery, Reuse, Recycle and Reclamation equipment.

The course starts at 5:30 p.m. at Ferndale Banquet Hall, 24 Ferndale Industrial Dr., in Barrie, Ont.
