Company hits new highs 14 months in a row. November sees sales of 4,015 units, bettering last year's mark of 3,934.
For 14 consecutive months, new vehicle sales at Volkswagen Canada have set a record. A total of 4,015 cars were sold at Canadian dealerships during the month of November, bettering last year’s mark of 3,934.
Through the first eleven months of the year, 49,039 Volkswagens have been sold, an 18% increase over the same period in 2010. This figure has already established 2011 as the most successful in the company’s 59-year history in Canada.
"With ample supply of the new Passat at our dealers, along with the recent introduction of the Beetle, Tiguan and Jetta GLI, our product lineup is broad enough to appeal to most Canadian car shoppers," stated John White, president and CEO of Volkswagen Group Canada.
Leading the way continues to be the Jetta, which posted sales of 1,855 during the month. Year-to-date, 25,142 have been sold, making it one of the top-selling cars in Canada.
The 2012 Passat is now available in dealerships across the country. It was recently named Motor Trend magazine’s Car of the Year. November sales hit 454 units, reflecting a 114% increase over last year’s figure.
