Better shop profitability through better service was the theme of the Motorist Assurance Program information seminar held on May 31, 2005 at Toronto’s Airport Marriot Hotel. Attendees heard MAP-C program head Mike Bryan outline the benefits of the Motorist Insurance Program to participating shops. AIA president Ray Datt described the Be Car Care Aware program and how it fits with the overall aim to increases consumer education about underperformed maintenance. MAP is an industry accreditation program where shops are tested each year and accredited by an independent auditor. MAP provides a consistent inspection and communication process for the consumer and is member-owned and governed.
