Mitchell 1 Awards Winners at 2010 SuperTech Competition
Raleigh, NC (September 23, 2010) On Wednesday, Mitchell 1, a Snap-on company, gave full one-year subscriptions to Repair-Connect.net to the Grand Champion of TMC’s Supertech 2010-National Technician Skills Competition, Jeffrey Schlecht, from the Omaha, Truck Center, Norfolk, Nebraska and to the individual winner of the Service Information Skills Station, Jason Kleman, from Navistar Inc., Warrenville, Il.
Repair-Connect.net, an intelligent web-based diagnostic program introduced at TMC’s 2010 Annual Meeting, is Mitchell 1’s newest on-line service information program. With their new subscriptions to Repair-Connect.net, Schlecht and Kleman will merely need to enter a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) for any brand of truck into the main page of Repair-Connect to immediately gain access to the proper information required to fix the problem identified by the code.
Mitchell 1 has been a sponsor of the SuperTech national competitions since their inception five years ago and each year Mitchell 1 has run the Service Information skills station testing competitors on their ability to use computers and web-based programs to diagnose and fix vehicles properly. In addition to their involvement at the national level, Mitchell 1 also supports and participates in many state technician skills competitions.
