The Lindertech Automotive Technical Training Conference, hosted by Cochrane Automotive, will be heading to the Greater Toronto Area this April for its 11th year.
The event will take place on Friday, April 29, at the Cochrane Automotive Shop in Etobicoke and on Saturday, April 30, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Mississauga.
Friday’s training will be Module Programming J2534 and OE for GM, Ford, Chrysler and will be taught by Scott Shotton. It will include both a classroom and a hands-on portion in the shop.
Next, Saturday’s training will be split into two parts. The morning will be Variable Valve Lift, taught by John Thornton, with a strong emphasis on testing techniques using both a scan tool and lab scope. The afternoon portion will be Transmission Diagnostics for the Non-Trans Tech, taught by Scott Shotton, which will focus on diagnosing transmission issues.
The Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG) is available for Lindertech Training (similar grants are also available in other provinces through the Federal Government). The grant covers up to 2/3 of an employer’s training costs, up to $10,000 per employee. You can read more about the grant here.
