ALLDATA and ToolSource.com sign agreement
ALLDATA, a computer-based publisher of diagnostic, repair and estimating information, technical service bulletins, recalls and maintenance schedules for automotive service providers, announced an agreement with ToolSource.com, an online source for over 37,000 hand and speciality tools. The two companies are working together to provide professional repair shops with integrated access to tools and information. Under this agreement, repair procedures in ALLDATA will come equipped with tool recommendations pulled from ToolSource.com’s database of hand and speciality tools designed specifically for professional repair shops. As ALLDATA and ToolSource further integrate their systems, technicians will be presented with tools specially designed for the procedures referenced in the ALLDATA diagnostic and repair information.
CarParts.com number one with consumers
CarParts.com, a provider of replacement parts, performance and accessory products, is ranked number one among automotive parts sites and is ranked seventh among all automotive web sites. According to PC Data Online, the largest Internet usage research panel in the industry, CarParts.com recorded an increase in monthly unique visits of more than 1,100 percent since it began tracking in July 1999. The site offers more than 2.5 million parts and accessories. According to CarParts.com, the site includes the largest online catalogue of vehicle accessories and performance parts, certified mechanics, tools and shop supplies, OEM parts, restoration and recycled parts.
