Former SSGM Editor and Business Information Group Vice President Herschel Fenik has retired after 40 years of service through three changes of ownership. Starting in 1964 as assisstant editor of Wadham Publication’s Automotive Service in Canada, Fenik ultimately managed 74 publications in markets ranging from hard rock mining to dentistry, including Automotive Group publications SSGM, Jobber News, BodyShop, L’Automobile, Le BodyShop, Automotive Service Data Book, Tire and Wheel Canada and Pneu et Jantes. Long-time readers will remember Herschel’s Pump Island Dialog with then-editor Joe Halliday in SSGM in the early 70’s. Herschel retires to Gormley, Ontario with his impressive collection of memorabilia, including a rare 1953 Cadillac Eldorado. Good Luck Herschel from all your friends at SSGM!
