Hella reports best-ever fiscal year

Hella reports continued strong growth in fiscal year 2011/2012, with 4.8 billion turnover surpassing previous years record, and best-ever EBIT of 341 million (up 27 percent)

HELLA KgaA Hueck & Co., one of the world’s leading automotive suppliers, concluded its best ever fiscal year on May 31st, 2012.

The generated turnover increased by nine percent to €4.8 billion, once again surpassing the result of the last fiscal year. The preliminary operative annual result (EBIT) increased to €341 million (previous year: €268 million).

A statement from Hella says the company was able to profit from the continuing high demand for premium-class vehicles in the growth markets worldwide.

“We were able to identify important trends in the automotive industry early on and have developed tailor-made products in the fields of energy management, safety and LED technology,” says Dr. Jürgen Behrend, managing and personally liable partner at Hella. “We are profiting from that today.”

Both the automotive segment, with its core entities lighting and electronics, as well as the segments aftermarket and special applications, which comprises business with special equipment manufacturers (Special OE) with new industrial applications (Industries), have made a contribution to the positive turnover and profit trends.
