Hahn Automotive Warehouse, Inc. acquires E&L Battery & Ignition Co.

Hahn Automotive Warehouse, Inc., a Rochester, New York based corporation, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Prime Automotive Parts Co., Inc. has acquired E&L Battery & Ignition Co., a New Jersey based company.

Both Hahn and E&L are warehouse distributors of aftermarket automotive parts.

Steven Blumenkranz, E&L’s President, will continue with the company following the completion of the transaction.  Terms of the transaction, which is expected to close on or about April 29, 2013, were not disclosed.

E&L is a warehouse distributor of aftermarket automotive parts with its main warehouse location in Newark, New Jersey, along with eight branches.

Hahn is a distributor of automotive aftermarket parts through its 20 distribution centers, over 80 Advantage Auto Stores and over 2,000 independent jobbers, in the Midwest and along the Eastern Seaboard.

Prime Automotive Parts Co. Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hahn, has a main warehouse location in Glendale, New York, and 23 pick-up warehouses located in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

Hahn and E&L are both members of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Inc., a leading international buying and marketing association. Hahn elected to acquire E&L based on E&L’s performance as a well-managed company with a commitment to growth and customer service in the New Jersey market.
