Gabriel Adding Over 50 New Premium ReadyMount Preassembled Struts, Expanding Line to Almost 200 SKUs

The Original Gabriel (Ride Control, LLC) has expanded its premium ReadyMount line. The company is introducing over 50 new SKUs, expanding the line by over 25 per cent, and bringing its line to almost 200 ReadyMount preassembled struts.

Of these new applications, 40 are first- or new-to-market designs covering such high-demand vehicle applications as mid-2000’s Toyota Corolla and Camry, Pontiac G6, Chevrolet Malibu, Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Ford Crown Victoria.

“These are high demand vehicle applications that, until now, have not had preassembled strut coverage in the marketplace,” said Janet Qian, Gabriel director

of business strategy and marketing. “Gabriel is laser-focused on market and customer demands for coverage for its premium ReadyMount and for all our product lines.”

Many installers don’t realize that the pre-assembled strut they install on their customers’ vehicles is a structural sub-system of the vehicle suspension, so it must be well tested for quality and durability. And that’s one thing you cannot tell from the outside.

“You can’t judge a preassembled strut by its packaging,” says Lisa Bahash, president and CEO of Gabriel. “We’ve put competitor parts through the same tests we run on our new ReadyMount designs and have found that some of the most attractive in appearance and prettiest-packaged parts do not perform as well as ReadyMount in Gabriel-designed tests.”

Gabriel ReadyMount design have been put through over 10 component and unit tests. Among these:

• · the strut design alone has been validated to 1,000,000 cycles
• · the spring design has been validated in tests to meet or exceed OE specifications
• · Then the entire assembly is tested to its extreme limits and to full travel to rule out noise, wear and durability issues.

All this ensures a highly of performance and reduces come-backs.
