Equipment leasing programs can offer many benefits to growing collision repair shops. Since leasing does not require a large cash outlay, owners have cash flow to invest in new facilities and advertising. Payments are usually fixed, making it easier to set a long-term budget with a lease than with a variable-rate line of credit.
Canadian collision shops can take advantage of the leasing trend through a new program offered by Chief Automotive Technologies. Chief has partnered with New Vision Equipment Leasing to provide financing for new or pre-owned equipment purchased from any Chief distributor. New Vision offers a range of flexible financing programs.
“We can now offer Canadian customers the same lease rates we provide in the United States,” says Ann Berglind, president of New Vision Equipment Leasing. “Leasing is starting to become more popular in Canada, because shop owners are finding they prefer to keep their cash reserves for other needs.”
New Vision offers a one-page application for up to $75,000-worth of equipment. The easy application process can be completed without submitting tax returns or other financial documents.
Once the lease is approved, the payment schedule is structured to meet the shop’s needs. Options include seasonal payments for cyclical businesses with peak and off-peak months; annual, biannual or quarterly installments; and deferred payments. All leases come with a $1 buyout option, so the equipment can be purchased for $1 after the lease expires.
“With a lease, you never get stuck with obsolete or worn out equipment,” says Berglind. “Your products are always in peak condition, which reduces maintenance costs and downtime. The equipment can be generating revenue while you pay for it.”
All Chief frame racks, computerized measuring systems and other collision repair equipment, including Elektron spot welders, are eligible for leasing through New Vision. To learn more, visit www.newvisionequipmentleasing.com or call (866) 537-0011.
