Federal-Mogul Holdings Corporation is relocating its global headquarters to a 10-story office complex at 27300 West 11 Mile Rd, in Southfield, Michigan, just a few miles from its current location at 26555 Northwestern Highway.

The 115-year-old automotive supplier reported the first wave of 750 employees will move into its new 180,000-square-foot home during the first week of October; the remainder will follow throughout the month of October.

Federal-Mogul expects the new building’s state-of-the-art technology and design to provide a collaborative environment, enhancing communication and teamwork.

“Our employees pride themselves on working collaboratively with each other, so we’ve designed the build-out of our new space in order to further enhance communication and teamwork,” said Scott Pepin, senior vice president, human resources. “Further, we are pleased about remaining in Southfield, a city that has supported our company and employees for nearly 50 years.”

Brenda Lawrence, mayor of the City of Southfield commented: “Federal-Mogul has been synonymous with Southfield since its headquarters opened here in 1966 and we could not be more pleased that the company has chosen to stay. Having Federal-Mogul remain in Southfield fortifies our city as the ‘Center of it All’ and one of the largest corporate addresses in Michigan.”
