Canada as a whole is up with all the provinces reporting positive year over year changes in sales.
The Atlantic provinces New Brunswick (up 26.9 percent) and Newfoundland (up 12.7 percent) reported the largest growth followed by Ontario (up 9.9 percent) and Manitoba (up 9.2 percent).
The nation as a whole is up over 50,000 units over the previous year with a large portion of that increase coming from the high volume regions of Ontario and Quebec.
Year over year light truck sales in Canada shot up 13.9 percent in the month of June while passenger car sales fell by 2.9 percent. Year to date, the light truck segment is up 14.5 percent and represents 65.0 percent of all new vehicle sales in 2016.
