Chevron Lubricants Canada Inc., the Canadian distributor and seller of the Delo brand of technologically advanced engine oils, lubricants and coolants, today announced that its Delo Truck will be heading to Canada for the first time since 2008. The Truck will make 13 appearances – primarily at Chevron lubricant marketer locations – in Ontario and Quebec over a three week period starting April 9.

“The Delo Truck is a catalyst for conversation around a number of key market issues,” said Bob Meachen, president, Chevron Lubricants Canada. “We’ll use the truck’s appearances in Canada to further the dialog about these issues between Chevron, its marketers and customers. Ultimately, the Delo Truck is a tool to help our customers drive bottom line performance and that’s what we expect this visit to do.”

The truck, a rolling ambassador for the Delo brand, was launched in August of 2011. In exhibit mode, the Delo Truck is 6.8 meters wide and features 19 stations designed to educate customers and the general public on key market issues, Delo technology and the importance of premium performance heavy-duty engine oils, lubricants and coolants.

The centerpiece of the Delo Truck is its 19 learning stations – most with interactive displays. Along with detailed information on the Delo product family and the brand’s history, visitors can explore various market topics including maximizing drain intervals, debunking the semi-synthetic myth and interpreting evolving OEM drain recommendations. Various engine parts are also on display. Included in the display are parts from a 2.4 million kilometer engine teardown that demonstrates the long term durability and a 110,000 km drain interval performance.

In Canada, the company supplies its Delo branded lubricants, coolants and services through Chevron 1st Source Marketers and through most major OE Dealers. There are nine Chevron 1st Source marketers – these marketers demonstrate the highest levels of performance and customer satisfaction – in the country.
