Does your ride have what it takes to become the 2013 Champion “King of the Road?” If so, you could win one of 10 weekly $500 cash awards plus the $5,000 grand prize in Federal-Mogul’s new Champion “King of the Road” online contest. Enrollment in the free contest begins June 17 at www.AlwaysaChampion.com.
To participate in the contest, individuals simply need to submit one or more digital images and interesting background information about their vehicle through the “King of the Road” link at www.AlwaysaChampion.com. Members of the Champion online community will vote each week for their favorite ride and the 10 weekly winners will automatically be entered into the $5,000 grand-prize round of voting. Anyone may vote in the contest and participate in other Champion promotions by completing a free registration on the brand’s website.
The Champion “King of the Road” contest will accept entries beginning Monday, June 17, 2013, with first-round voting beginning June 24. The first of 10 weekly winners will be announced July 1. Other entrants’ rides will automatically be included in the next round of voting.
The Champion “King of the Road” contest joins a variety of other innovative grassroots programs designed to connect one of the automotive and motorsports industries’ most storied brands with millions of consumers. Federal-Mogul also sponsors the annual $125,000 “Search for a Champion” racing sponsorship contest, weekly online giveaways of Champion products through the Champion Spark Plugs Facebook page and www.AlwaysaChampion.com, and Kevin Harvick’s popular monthly #ChampionChat social media dialog series on Twitter and TweetChat.com.
“Our digital programs are extending the Champion brand’s reach to a new generation of current and future customers who demand the best performance in everything they do, from driving to participating in snow and water sports to maintaining their yards,” said Federal-Mogul brand strategy manager Jessica Wynn. “The ‘King of the Road’ contest gives them an opportunity to show off their rides to a vast online community of enthusiasts.”
