Eastern Catalytic has appointed Bert Zech as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer. In his new position as CFO, Bert Zech will be responsible for all financial activities and the health of the company, including accounting, treasury, risk management and systems integration.

The announcement was made by George Schafer, president of Eastern Manufacturing, who noted that Mr. Zech comes to Eastern with an excellent record of accomplishment as an upper level financial executive. “Our company is growing very quickly and we need someone with a proven ability to run the financial side of our business. We are very confident that Bert Zech will use his strong financial skills and management expertise to help us achieve our goals and continue to grow.”

Before joining the Eastern Catalytic team, Mr. Zech enjoyed a successful, five-year career at Conair Corporation as its Divisional VP of Finance. Before his work at Conair, he was the VP of Finance at Scunci International for over 10 years.

Mr. Zech added, “I enjoy working with all disciplines within a company, such as sales, marketing, operations, and engineering. I consider myself a ‘hands-on’ CFO who is strategic and detail-oriented. I want to be sure I have an in-depth understanding of the Eastern Catalytic brand and play a major role in helping to shape the strategic and operational functions within this company. I’m very excited to be part of the team.”
