ASE hires its first VP of marketing

Leigh Wilson has joined the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) as vice president of marketing. ASE says this new position was created as part of the organization's commitment to integrate enhanced marketing throughout its entire family of organizations, with the goal of providing a higher level of service and support to the automotive professionals it serves.

ASE says this new position was created as part of the organization’s commitment to integrate enhanced marketing throughout its entire family of organizations, with the goal of providing a higher level of service and support to the automotive professionals it serves.

“We believe this effort is vital to remain responsive to the rapidly-changing environments we all face in today’s business climate, and we welcome Leigh to the ASE team,” said Tim Zilke, ASE president and CEO.

Ms. Wilson brings 24 years of marketing experience to the ASE organization and holds a BA from the University of Massachusetts and MBA in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University. “Leigh rose to the top of a list of outstanding candidates and we are delighted to have her as part of the team,” said Zilke. “Her background and experience in customer relationship management, branding, analytics and promotions, along with her thorough understanding of segmentation and databases, brings a new dimension to ASE’s marketing efforts.”

 
 
 

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence was established in 1972 as a non-profit organization to help improve the quality of automotive service and repair through the voluntary testing and certification of automotive technicians and parts specialists. Today, there are nearly 400,000 ASE-certified professionals at work in dealerships, independent shops, collision repair shops, auto parts stores, fleets, schools and colleges throughout the country.
