APD launches diesel parts program

More than 200 people attend Edmonton-based Automotive Parts Distributor's three-city launch of new 'Thunder Diesel' parts program.

Automotive Parts Distributors (APD) had overwhelming support for their Diesel Day Tour in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

About 200 people attended the launch of Thunder Diesel, a new diesel parts brand.

“Thunder diesel fills a void in the market place,” said APD product manager Glen Matthew. “The aftermarket did not have one-stop access to a complete line of products for our 3/4-tonne truck market.”

At the events in Calgary, Edmonton, and Saskatoon, Flight Systems had two presenters explaining their injectors and other offerings from their company.

Flo-Pro exhaust also presented their diesel offerings.

“We live in truck country,” said Zara Wishloff , vice president of sales and marketing for APD. “The turnout showed the demand. We had 16 people who commuted over an hour – some as far as 620 km one way – to attend.”

The Diesel Days were also used to promote APD’s social media presence. Customer pictures and comments can be viewed at
