Brake Parts Inc. (BPI) has announced that Bruce Tartaglione, senior vice president of global sales and marketing, will retire from the company effective Oct. 31. Tartaglione joined the BPI team in 2011. As part of the company’s senior leadership team, he oversaw global sales and marketing, working closely with a wide range of customers.
As for the company’s plans moving forward, David Overbeeke, president and CEO, said “Bruce has just announced his retirement following a long and productive career in the automotive aftermarket, and we are currently evaluating our approach going forward as the market continues to change. In the interim, our global sales team, built over many years, is both experienced and well established with our customers, so we anticipate a steady and consistent approach guided by me and the broader leadership team.”
Tartaglione came to BPI (then Affinia Global Brake & Chassis) from United Components Inc. (UCI), where he was vice president, traditional aftermarket. He was responsible for coordinating aftermarket sales for four business units and piloting digital marketing initiatives. Tartaglione’s background also includes management positions with Standard Motor Products and BWD (Echlin/Dana).
He also has been active in many industry organizations, including the Automotive Sales Council, Auto Care Association and AWDA.
