“Best on Bridgestone”…

“Best on Bridgestone” SEMA Show Winners Announced

Bob Folkestad of SPAL Advanced Engineering in Des Moines, Iowa took home first place at last weeks SEMA Show for the 2003 Ford Focus he customized.
Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire, LLC (BRNT) sought out the best project vehicles with Bridgestone brand tires that were on display at the show.
“We received a number of very exciting vehicle entries and determining one winner from such a fine field of contenders was very difficult, says Phil Pasci, executive director, North American brand marketing, BFNT.
The panel of judges was made up of BFNT employees. BFNT plans to make this an annual program to applaud the best most innovative SEMA Show vehicles, with Bridgestone tires.Vehicles were judged for unique aftermarket design, overall appearance, how well the product accentuated the tires, the most innovative paint scheme, the best use of accessories, interior/exterior carryover and unique (never been seen before) ideas with accessories.
The top three vehicles will be showcased in a full-page, full colour Bridgestone-brand tire ad in an upcoming issue of SEMA News. All the “Best of Bridgestone” finalists and their vehicles will be publicized on the company’s Website.Folkestad received a $2,500 (U.S.) cash prize and a crystal trophy with a wall plaque. The vehicle will also be taken on a limited national promotional tour.The second place winner, Trent Van Arsdalen received a $1,000 (U.S.) cash prize and a trophy and plaque for his 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. Steven Grew and his 2003 Honda Element walked away with third place and $500 (U.S.) and a trophy with a plaque.
