BASF Canada appoints New President

BASF has appointed Robin C. Rotenberg as president of BASF Canada.
She will have administrative responsibility for all businesses in the country, including Agricultural Products and Nutrition, Chemicals, Performance Products and Plastics. In addition, Rotenberg will be responsible for the management of BASF Canada’s internal services such as Communications, Legal, Finance and Logistics.
"Robin will help us to optimize our businesses and service platform within BASF to add value for our customers," said Hans Engel, executive vice president and chief financial officer of BASF Corporation. "In addition, she will play a key role in continuing BASF’s commitment to Responsible Care and its initiatives."
Prior to this appointment, Rotenberg was general counsel and corporate Secretary with Insurance, Real Estate and Communications responsibilities for BASF Canada. Her roles in various internal committees will continue.
Rotenberg obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario and she was subsequently called to the Ontario Bar in 1987. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in political studies and a Bachelor of Education degree from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario.
BASF Canada has manufacturing sites in Cornwall, Georgetown, Toronto and Windsor, Ontario; Abbotsford, British Columbia as well as Blackie, Alberta.
