Auto Value to recognize top Canadian tech


Auto Value has kicked off its search for its inaugural 2018 Canadian Technician of the Year.

The new training program looks to award the top technician for their commitment to maintaining superior automotive skills and industry knowledge. It is open to certified service centre technicians in Canada.

The Canadian grand prize winner will qualify to receive two trips and a $3,000 cash prize. The first trip will be to Phoenix where they will take part in two days of driving at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving. Then, the grand prize winner will head to Las Vegas for Four days and three nights and receive VIP access to AAPEX & SEMA. Travel, meals and receptions are also included. While in Las Vegas, the winner will be honoured on stage at the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance 2018 Aftermarket Jackpot Convention.

To qualify, Canadian technicians must provide proof of journeyman, attend and show proof of completion of 20 hours of live training and 12 vendor partner classes, as well as provide a bio on why they should win the award.

This program’s entry period is from September 1, 2017 until April 30, 2018.
