ATOFINA Canada Inc. has announced that its quality system has now been upgraded to the new ISO standard.
Robert Roth, technical manager for ATOFINA in Canada, says the company has now earned the ISO 9001-2000 certification, improving on its previous ISO 9002 qualification.
"This was a total re-write of our existing quality system and will ensure enhanced customer satisfaction and service," says Roth.
"ISO standards are constantly being reviewed and upgraded," said company president and CEO Bob Miller. "ATOFINA makes a point of ensuring we are always a step up in customer satisfaction," he added.
ATOFINA supplies a variety of products to industry, including R-134a refrigerant to the automotive aftermarket.
The ISO 9001-2000 certification provides a new standard in customer-oriented quality. This procedure determines customer requirements and takes the necessary steps to satisfy these exacting demands. As a result, the new ISO standard is much more customer-focussed.
