Association President Chris Bates…

Association President Chris Bates Resigns

Motor Equipment Manufacturers Association president and CEO Chris Bates resigned last night after 16 years of service with the organization
“MEMA thanks Chris for his years of dedicated service to the association and its members,” said Scott Meyer, MEMA chairman. “Chris has been closely associated with the development of MEMA’s Washington, DC and international programs for more than a decade and in encouraging recent collaboration with other industry organizations for the benefit of our industry,” he added. “Chris is well known and respected for his contributions to our membership and industry. We wish him great future success.”
Meyer noted that MEMA was seeking new leadership in order to accelerate positive change and growth in association services as part of its ongoing strategic initiative to serve and represent manufacturers of aftermarket, original equipment and heavy-duty products for motor vehicles.
“MEMA has a strong executive management team in place and the executive committee and I will rely heavily on their leadership and experience as we seek a new president,” Meyer said.
MEMA has formed a search committee to identify and evaluate potential successors to Bates.
