ASE Certification Testing Schedule Announced

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) will offer its full complement of forty-plus certification tests for repair professionals and parts specialists this Fall over the course of three evenings on November 7, 12, and 14 at 7:00 p.m. The tests will be given at over 700 locations throughout the United States and Canada. The registration deadline is September 27, 2002.
ASE offers certification tests in the following specialties: Automobile, Medium/Heavy Truck, Truck Equipment, School Bus, Collision Repair and Refinish, Engine Machinist, Alternate Fuels/CNG, Parts Specialist, School Bus, and Advanced Series.

The online registration option has been up and running "24/7" since June 3rd at the ASE website, while telephone registration (Toll-free, 877-564-8661) will be available, starting September 3, 2002. These methods are in addition to the traditional method of mailing or faxing in the completed registration form, officials with ASE note. ASE Catalogs of Tests, with sample questions, test specifications and task lists, and references to study materials can be viewed or downloaded at no charge from the ASE site as well. The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) was founded in 1972 as an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of automotive service and repair through the voluntary testing and certification of automotive professionals. ASE-certified professionals wear blue and white ASE insignia and carry credentials listing their exact areas of certification. Their employers often display the blue and white ASE sign.
