ASC Dubbed ‘Double-Good’

ASC Industries, Inc. Tianjin, China division (ASCT), a United Components Inc. company, has been designated as a “Prominent Enterprise” and “Double Good Enterprise” by the Tianjin government for 2005.
Considered the highest recognition from the government for a firm based in Tianjin, ASCT joins the ranks of Motorola and Samsung honoured with these prestigious awards.
Of over 2,100 foreign-invested exporting companies in Tianjin, only 69 enterprises received this high honour.
The Tianjin government and Department of Commerce of China Central government developed criteria for the awards in order to recognize companies that have shown a willingness to invest and succeed in their emerging market.
Award criteria included export sales over $2 million in 2005, export sales and profit per employee, and other sales and profit metrics.
All firms receiving the “Prominent Enterprise” award were also honoured with the “Double Good Enterprise” distinction, which were presented to ASCT employees by the Mayor of Tianjin at a special ceremony on June 8, 2006.
