ArvinMeritor Light Vehicle Aftermarket (LVA) group today announced the unveiling of www.checkyourshocks.com, an informational site designed to educate consumers on shock and strut care.
The site is filled with useful information and simple graphics to help the consumer easily learn and understand the aspects of shock and strut care.
Information includes the basics: how shocks work, how struts work, and how shocks and braking affect each other. The site also lists warning signs that may appear that will alert consumers to replace their shocks or struts.
Consumers are advised to have their vehicle inspected once a year or every 12,000 miles (20,000 km).
“We wanted to release information for consumers that will help them become more aware of their vehicle’s needs,” said Marlen Silverii, vice president, global business strategies, ArvinMeritor, LVA. “This site is both educational and interesting at the same time, and we believe this will draw consumers into learning about shock and strut care.”
