Akebono makes changes to sales team

Bill Perlmutter

Brake maker Akebono started off the year with changes to its field sales team.

Mike Spain has been promoted eastern region sales manager. Bill Perlmutter has joined the team to take over Spain’s old position of eastern district sales manager position. Perlmutter comes to Akebono from the Hengst Filter’s aftermarket division. He has spent many years in the industry and has experience in the eastern region.

Brian Horvath has been appointed to the newly created role of national group sales manager. His focus will be to work directly with the national buying groups to increase our partnership with their members.

“These changes are a result of our continued growth and increased dedication to our direct customers and trading partners” said Russ Stebbins, director of Americas at Akebono’s aftermarket business unit. “It was important for us as a team to finalize these positions before the end of 2018. We have many opportunities in 2019 and these changes and additions will strengthen the aftermarket team for the growth that we are targeting this year and in the future.”
