Shop owners and technicians get a crash-course on what it will take to tackle hybrid repairs.
EV and hybrid expert Craig Van Batenburg addresses a crowd of AIA’s Automotive Service Associate Program participants at the Electric Vehicle Discovery Centre in North York, Ont.
It’s time for independent repair shops to get into the hybrid service game.
That was the predominant message at “Vehicle Programming Today!” a presentation hosted by the Automotive Industries Association of Canada, held today in North York, Ont.
One of the first events for AIA’s new ASAP (Automotive Service Associate Program) participants, it featured a full-day class by Massachusetts-based EV and hybrid trainer Craig Van Batenburg.
He pointed out the profit potential of servicing and repairing hybrid vehicles.
Attendees also got a chance to test drive plug-in electric vehicles at the venue, The Electric Vehicle Discovery Centre. The privately funded initiative was created to educate consumers about the benefits of electric vehicles.
