The Motor Equipment Manufcturers Association Information Services Council (MIS Council) has announced the finalists for the 2002 Aftermarket Web Challenge (AWC).
The three finalists, Dana Corporation, Indian Head Industries and Robert Bosch Corporation, were selected by the Council’s Board of Governors based on applications and Web site reviews.
The Aftermarket Web Challenge recognizes and promotes the achievements of aftermarket industry companies that demonstrate superior Web site applications and to encourage more aftermarket companies to strive for Web site excellence. Finalists will compete by demonstrating their sites to an audience of E-commerce and Information Technology professionals. Winners will be selected based on site overview, quality of content, ease of use and overall value.
The competition will be held Tuesday, Oct. 15, during the MIS Council’s 2002 Fall Conference. The winner of the Aftermarket Web Challenge will be announced at the annual awards banquet during the Fall Conference and presented to the aftermarket at the annual Automotive Aftermarket Product Expo (AAPEX) event in Las Vegas.
The 2002 Aftermarket Web Challenge will focus on corporate Intranets, which allow information to be shared throughout a company. They can improve productivity, reduce costs, are crucial to collaboration efforts between multiple departments/divisions, and can keep projects on time and within budget. Intranets allow companies to manage resources and staff more easily and effectively.
