Aftermarket Technology Breakthroughs…

Aftermarket Technology Breakthroughs to be Announced at eForum

The Aftermarket eForum, August 2-4, in Chicago, once again will be the scene of news and announcements in the fields of information technology, e-commerce and e-marketing.
O’Reilly Auto Parts and the Automotive Aftermarket Group (AAG) of Dana have been collaborating in an industry-first implementation of standards-based, automated data synchronization. Together with their respective solution providers, Evant and Comergent Technologies, they will report on the outcome of the T.E.S.T. Pilot – Technology Enabled Standards-based Trading.
The panel of presenters will be moderated by industry consultant and columnist Bob Moore, who helped bring the coalition together initially and then coordinated the entire pilot project. The panel will include Jerry McCabe of the DANA AAG, Greg Beck of O’Reilly Auto Parts, Ed Heon of Comergent and Frank Tomany of Evant.
The group has authored a white paper that will be distributed at the eForum, documenting the details of their implementation and the benefits. “We’re going to share the good, the bad and the ugly about this exercise”, said Bob Moore, “so that others in the aftermarket can benefit from our experience and begin enjoying their share of the ROI that much sooner.”
Leaders from a number of major companies will share how they have improved profit and performance by applying technology to their business challenges at the Aftermarket eForum, August 2-4 in Chicago, Ill. The companies include CARDONE Industries, Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Hunter Engineering, All Night Auto, Reliable Automotive, Parts Depot, Federal-Mogul and Parts Warehouse.
The Aftermarket eForum is the industry’s largest educational conference dedicated to industry-specific solutions in e-commerce and supply chain technology. The eForum is produced by AAIA, AWDA, AIA Canada, MEMA and SEMA. The Aftermarket eForum is held August 2-4 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Chicago.
