Detailed financial results of distribution firms provide comprehensive guidelines for analyzing profitability among motor vehicle aftermarket companies, are featured in the 2005 edition of Financial Benchmarks for Success: A Survey of Aftermarket Distributors, published by the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA).
The report includes charts, graphs, tables and information designed to use as a guide for running businesses. Operating economics of four industry segments were examined including: wholesalers/jobbers, warehouse distributors, two-step warehouse distributors and PBE jobbers.
Measurement benchmarks included in the survey results are:
