BorgWarner’s first year as the exclusive turbocharger supplier for the IZOD IndyCar Series established a reputation of powerful performance, durability and dependability for EFR (Engineered for Racing) turbochargers. During the 2012 IZOD IndyCar Series race season, BorgWarner’s EFR turbochargers accumulated over 212,000 miles during practice, test, qualifying and race events without incident. During the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) Series, LMP2 class cars boosted by EFR turbochargers won first in their class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2,298 miles), the 12 Hours of Sebring (1,180 miles), and the Petit Le Mans (1,000 miles) without a single incident. The American Le Mans Series champion and the current point leader in the WEC Series also employ EFR turbochargers under the hood.

BorgWarner’s latest EFR turbocharging technology will be introduced at the 2012 SEMA show, the world’s premier automotive specialty performance products trade event, held in Las Vegas, October 30 – November 2.
